Updates: 11/12/06: Oooh, look at the pretty things gypsyicons made! Don't worry. I hope to update the community with, like, an actual entry some time this weekend.
About This LJ community is for those interested in bookish_beth's 2006 NaNoWriMo novel: Adore. Beginning November 1st, the goal is to finish 50,000 words of Adore by November 30th. This is, of course, utter insanity. But also possibly fun and effective so here goes!
Adore is a plot idea I've had for two years or so now. It was originally based off a strangely detailed dream I had. It's changed a lot since its original incarnation but the basic rundown is this: Girl meets Boy. Boy is a budding charismatic cult leader. Angst ensues.
So, if you're interested-- read the rules and join the community. You will not be given posting access but you will recieve the most up-to-date Adore information on the web! And isn't that something? ^_~
-"If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."- Now, I'm not the greatest writer in the world. I'm a much better Muse. I know this. And usually when I'm writing something my rule is that for every comment there has to be one constructive criticism but this time it's different. This time it's NaNoWriMo. This means I'll be trying to bang out as much as humanly posible in a very short amount of time. So, really, it's going to TOTAL crap. I need to accept this and move on. If I get hung up on it being crappy I'll never finish. So-- NO CRITICISM! ENCOURAGEMENT ONLY PLEASE!
-"I don't know, I think that's it."- I really think that rule up there is the only one needed for now. I'll add more rules later if needed.
Archives: 10/10/06: Instead of doing homework or memorizing lines, I made this community and put a bit of stuff here on the information page. Thus begins a long tradition of forsaking truly important things for NaNoWriMo. In the future, you can expect actual posts of pre-novel planning goodness and a spiffy layout by gypsyicons possibly by the end of the week!
